A standard element can be wired straight into the power source via an isolating switch. These types of element have an inbuilt thermostat that keeps the temperature at its optimum.
This works fine as is, however, by inserting a digital control plate, (DTC1) as shown on the right, the temperature of a standard element can be controlled.
A timer can be used in conjunction with a standard element for your convenience, timers are either 24 hour analogue or a 7 day digital version. Please see our timers section.
At the point of order your chosen radiator will be setup and electrified by our trained engineers. The radiator will undergo a series of tests and bleeding before dispatching, this process takes 24 hours. Once the radiator is sealed it will give years of trouble free use.
A temperature controlled element can be wired straight into the power source via an isolating switch. These types of element have 5 settings that the operator can set to the desired heat, there is also an ECO boast button to bring the unit up to temperature quickly.
If required a timer can be used with a TC. Please note the TC will return to its last heat setting when switching back on.
Digital Control Units
Digital control units offer a versatile option to controlling a standard element, it is an alternative to the inbuilt TC elements.
The DTC's work in the same principle controlling the element with 5 settings and an ECO boast button to get the radiator up to temperature quickly.
