SBH radiators are manufactured from 100% stainless steel (Grade 304) including the wall mounts. They will not rust or corrode. They are pressure tested with air to 10bars under water. Stainless steel has the major advantage of being totally impervious to water, therefore enabling its use in any domestic heating system, both direct/open or indirect/closed. Stainless steel has an extremely durable surface, so it will with stand a high degree of wear and tear.
Finishes
The SBH range is available in polished stainless steel as standard. All radiators in the SBH range are also available in powder coated white (gloss) and anthracite and mocha (textured) finishes at no extra cost.

Radiator Valves
Radiator valves supplied by SBH Radiators Ltd are manufactured from brass and are chrome plated. Angled valves are usually used when the pipe work for the radiator comes through the wall and straight radiator valves are used when the pipe work for the radiator comes through the floor. more info
Dual Fuel Kits
The dual fuel kit enables the towel rail to be used when the central heating system is not being used, for example during the summer months.

IMPORTANT! Elements must be installed at the bottom of the towel radiator/ radiator.
IMPORTANT! Never dry test an element they must be immersed in water at all times. Dry testing the element will cause damage and invalidate your guarantee.
Note: It is now law that all electrical work carried out in the bathroom is by a qualified electrician in accordance with I.E.E. wiring regulations.
Note: Dual Fuel kits now consist of an element T piece and blanking T piece. Angled valves should be used, see catalogue
Electric Only Conversion
The entire SBH range of radiators is offered with an "electric only" conversion option. The radiator is filled with a water based inhibitor and an electric element on the left hand side of appropriate wattage. The radiator is tested at full temperature before being supplied to customers. The radiator arrives ready for installation by a qualified electrician.
All elements heat the contents of the radiator to 80 degrees C, thus providing output in excess of those stated in our literature.
No radiator valves are required with electric only radiators as they cannot be connected to a central heating system.

Digital Temperature Controller
The Digital Temperature Controller fits on a standard surface or flush-fit electrical back plate and can be fitted inside or outside of the bathroom. Please note that this unit MUST be fitted via a 5 amp fused spur situated outside of the bathroom.
The Digital Temperature controller is used in conjunction with our standard duel fuel kit or standard electric only towel radiators and allows you to control the temperature, switch the unit on/off and use a preset 2hr boost cycle.

Micro Automatic Radiator Bleed Valve (6mm)
Micro Auto Vents are used to vent unwanted air from a radiator. Air build up occurs over a period of time and collects in high spots of a heating system, (usually a radiator and in most cases, the first radiator after the central heating pump). Automatic bleed valves vent unwanted air from the radiator automatically. A micro auto vents has a life of about 3 years and then needs to be replaced.
